Flowers...for me?

My sister-in-law, Jenn, is a super duper talented floral designer!! I will totally be showcasing her work throughout the blog!! Anyhooooo...the other day she stops by the office and brings me this beautiful desk candy!
FLOWERS...for ME?
Flowers are my favorite!
Wouldn't this arrangement be perfect for a centerpiece? I'm thinking bridal shower, ladies luncheon, baby shower, or a lined up side by side in a row down rectangle tables at a wedding!! ahhhhh! I can't wait to do that! :)
Till tomorrow folksies!

Grey & Yellow Pt III - Baggies and Taggies

Some of the most delish treats come from those 'small' bakeries in town. For a long time, Azila and I have been big fans of this local bakery, "Monica's Waterfront Bakery & Cafe," in old town Silverdale. Not until April of this year did a friend of mine introduce me to their custom cookies! I thought they were done so cute that I have been itching to find a reason to order some.

And so for the baptismal, along side a cookie buffet (photos later), were cookies I ordered from the bakery and personalized with the letter "E" for Elijah.

Using the same pattern as was used for the votive candle wraps and the banner, I created tags for the cookies. Originally I wanted to stick them in a baggie and just use the sticker label to seal the baggies. But cute Azila wanted to showcase my taggies, and so, she decided to skip over the sticker label altogether and just punch holes in them and twisty tie the baggies shut.

She made the right choice, cause they turned out so cute. She did a great job putting the tasty "shortbread sugar iced" treats in baggies and tying them with taggies. Thanks girl!! See...

Pictures of the event soon to come. I am waiting for pics from a friend!! :)

The Elephant & The Ducky

Like the title of this blog post? teehee. It's my interpretation of grey and yellow! :) From my previous post, you saw the goodies I bought to prepare for the yellowgrey partay this weekend. Well, here are a few teaser shots of what I've been working on....
I wish I could show more...but just in case...I get a few peekers at this, I don't want the clients to seeeeeeee! :D
But for now...here's the banner I made (with the help of hubby cutting the circles out) and a votive i shazzamed up!

gniters all! till tomorrow....
Azila and I are going to stage it and do a photo shoot tomorrow. :) fun....

Yellow...not so Mellow...

This weekend we have a baptismal to dress up :) And the color scheme I chose was yellow and grey...
so, I went yellow...all oooover!
  • Yellow poms
  • Yellow baggies for the favors
  • Yellow accent ribbon
  • Yellow paper flowers (i could not resist the cuteness of these!!)
  • Galvanized white buckets for a table scape ($2.50 at Targhey)
  • Mini White wooden stool for tablescape.

Oh...finally, here are the invites I made for this baptismal. They were grey texture cardstock layered with yellow cardstock, then cream textured text paper. It was bound with glue and topped off with grey/silver ribbon and a cross charm!

This is a pic of them packaged and ready for the client.

Now the goooooooodies for decor!

SO EXCITED to PUT IT TOGETHER!!

Cuppie Cakies 1

The first of MANY MANY cupcake posts!!
Cupcakes are my Favorite!

I love cupcakes...making them, eating them, analyzing the icing and sprinkles on them, the cupcake wrappers, the boxes, cute packaging, fondant, buttercream, cream cheese...all of it! I just made 48 cupcakes - 24 for the "Relay for Life" fundraiser, 12 more my Sprinklebelle (daughter) to decorate, and 12 to bring over to the mywedding.com peeps!! Take a lookie at my batch to bring over to the office!

SAS (short and sweet..aduh!)

Yesterday was the "End of the School Year Picnic" for my daughter and Azila's son. (Actually, Azila's son graduated from the Montessori and will be going to big kids school now) [tear!]

Anyhooo, remember the vintage inspired candy bar buffet we did last week? Well, what the heck were we going to do with all that candy? ( I wouldn't oppose to stuffing my face with it...but, I figure I didn't need the teeth issues!) SO, instead, we put it to good use and made favor bags for the kids at the montessori, to give away at the picnic.

Azila did an awesome job packaging the yumminess and I wanted to share with you how they turned out!

The kids, parents and teachers were pleased with the thoughtfully sugary treat! Of course, we shamelessly put our business info all over it! You know...networking! right? :)

OK..well..eat on this:

What is a b.a.s.h.ful custom events kit? How can I get one?

I know you're all dying to know what it is this thing of a biz we've gotten into!! So, let me break it down for ya!

Well, If you are perfectly content with parties dressed up with department store decor in a box - b.a.s.h.ful custom event kits are not for you. And that's cool!

Our clients are those who want to honor the celebrant with a unique, special, custom created, soiree!

Are you are tired of spending your time and energy searching high and low for "totally different from the stores" decor and accessories, but still end up hitting up the local party tstore or superstore?? Then, to spend money on these overly priced, themed items that you won't be using for any other event?

NO WORRIES - we do all the research to bring you the trendiest and freshest ideas for your event! All of our decorations, including tablescape and signage are made to fit your theme and most importantly, your budget! Don't forget that after the party - you won't have to store away any dust collectors! Now how great is that?

Custom party favors are a definite favorite of ours to compile for our clients. Not a big fan of those "already bagged, goodie-bags?"

Well, we aren't either! Again, we do the timely research to find you the best and most unique items to give to your guests. We make sure they are useful, fun and of course, custom to your theme!
We are here to make your event planning SUPER EASY!

Here it is, the step-by-step (NKOTB rocks! I heart Jordan Knight) procedure of how to easily plan your b.a.s.h.ful custom events!

  • Our next step is to present you with an inspiration board of thought up ideas and brought down to a visual. (via email or to meet in person).
  • We will call you to confirm either pick up or delivery of the kit. Should you decide to have b.a.s.h.ful decorate your venue, we can work out when it would be the best time for you.
  • When your event is done, you can also decide to have it cleaned up and picked up or you can drop it off at an agreed upon location.

Sweeeeet Dreams...

OMG...way to excited to sleep. Annaliza and I knew we wanted to "bring it" (Bring it On reference, in case you didn't catch that..thank-you very much!) this afternoon at the candy buffet bar photoshoot! I mean, I'm thinking Amy Atlas would have dugg em too! We only had a couple hours and pulled it off...can't post a long blog right now...but....here's a sneek peak..

********************************************************
Here's a bashful tip: Dress up your tables with things you have around the house. For this candy buffet, we used vintage toys circa 1960's and 1970's! They provided inspiration for the kind of candy colors we wanted in our buffet. These toys were so cute faded in color, and the wood was distressed. But they definitely added a nostalgic element to the otherwise modern tablescape.

Sweeeeeet Dreams!!

Toot Sweets

Toot Sweets!
Toot Sweets!
The candies you whistle, the whistles you eat.
Toot Sweets!Toot Sweets!
The eatable, tweetable treats!
-Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, 1968

Remember that movie? Oh, man..I watched that movie ALL the time when i was a kid. And now, my 4-yr old, she likes it too! The colors, the fantasy, bright and shiny Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang! [sigh]

Anyways, in my last post did I mention how much I LOVED candy bar displays? Well, later this morning Annaliza and I are going to set-up a candy bar buffet photoshoot, and 3 things I was inspired by Toot Sweets, the Candy Land game, and Babes in Toy Land (1961)
.

You'll see what we've come up with when I post the pictures! For now check out these candy bar displays from the uber talented Amy Atlas! Jaw-dropping, mouth watering gorgeous, eye candy
galore!! She's the reason why..

Candy Bar Buffets are my favorite!

C is for Cookie!

A fave blog I follow is "Totally Tabletops." She has a real parties post every Tuesday - actually, she featured my daughter's jungle birthday, check it out here.

So, ok..I LOVE LOVE LOVE candy bar buffets, the displays, the colors, the creativity and of course the candy! :) I will probably post a candy bar buffet blog like..weekly! haha. Delicious modicfications to this party favorite are popcorn buffets, dessert buffets, and another love of mine...cookie bar buffets!

On Totally Tabletops, I came across this super cute cookie baby shower. I am always up for some cookies and milk, so this tablescape really made my mouth water...sooo cute! Check out the stitched baggie too..it's the perfect baggie to take home some goodies!

All over the Place!!

I need to get used to this posting EVERYDAY routine! I have so much to share and sometimes I'm so overwhelmed with ideas that I just shut down! haha! It's like I don't want to post half-assed, so I don't post at all! I need to get over it, and at the very least let you all know that I am still alive! haha!

Oh, so..welcome my old friend, and new event designer to the b.a.sh.ful events team, Annaliza! She is a make-up junkie, super stylish and creative mom of 2! We've often shared event planner tips, and have chatted about designs..now, she's a part of b.a.s.h.ful! I am sooo excited! We met Saturday evening at a coffee shop for nearly 5 hours bouncing ideas off eachother, organizing thoughts and just being creative and inspired! So, let's give Annaliza a big warm welcome! Wahoo!

I am working with a couple who is to be married in October of 2010. And let me tell you, they are on the ball. Venue - check! Budget, Guestlist, Theme, Photographer, DJ - check! I am so honored to be a part of their wedding plans!!

Sorry, this blog post is all over the place...bare with me...it won't last long! haha
A friend of mine just launched his new photography site. He is so talented! I love the e-session he did of a best friend of mine: Christine and Danhil. Lookie -
